Membership

The Melik Society’s aim is to advance awareness of Anglo-Sudanese history through the restoration of two historic vessels now ashore in Khartoum: the gunboat Melik and the paddle steamer Bordein.

Joining the Friends of the Melik provides a direct benefit to the Society. Your subscriptions and donations, and funds raised through special Friends’ events, will help the Society fulfil its aims, including the publication of its occasional journal, The Gunboat.

With growing number of enquiries from all over the world needing our response, the support of Friends willing to help and provide their expertise as volunteers is greatly valued.

Membership costs £30 / US$50 annually.
